Borough Kitchen started as a London cook shop and now sells cookware, knives, baking tools and tableware through its UK store. That is a lot of shelf to wander, so we narrowed it down to the pieces that make a dining table feel considered: two mills, a set of napkins and a placemat.
We compared the product pages, materials and descriptions on the store. Here is what each piece is, what to check first and who it suits.
In short: the walnut mills are the most distinctive pieces, the linen napkins are the easiest to live with, and the rattan placemat is a good texture add-on. None of them is a bargain-bin buy, so read the details below before you order.
The walnut pepper mill and its six settings
The Peugeot x Borough Kitchen Paris u’Select pepper mill is an 18cm manual mill made in France from solid Canadian walnut. It is an exclusive collaboration, so each mill is stamped with both the Peugeot and Borough Kitchen names.
The practical feature is the u’Select system: six grind settings marked with Roman numerals on the base, from I (finest) to VI (coarsest). Inside is a hardened steel, helix-shaped mechanism that holds peppercorns back until they are cracked and ground. Because the body is solid walnut, no two mills have the same grain.

The store describes the grinding mechanism as built to cope with tougher peppercorns without shedding metal. That is the brand’s own claim, but the six-setting design makes it easy to move from a fine grind for sauces to a coarse one for steak.
The Zirlion salt mill: what it can and cannot grind
The matching Zirlion salt mill is also 18cm, also solid walnut and also made in France. Instead of steel it uses a zirconia mechanism that Peugeot says stays sharp and resists corrosion, and the store notes a warranty. You adjust the grind with the knob on top: the tighter it is, the finer the salt.
One limit matters here. The store states these mills cannot be used with wet salts such as fleur de sel or grey salt. If those are your everyday salts, this is not the mill for you. For dry flaky or coarse salt it is a good match. The pepper mill and salt mill are sold separately, so you choose whether to buy one or both.

Linen napkins and a rattan placemat for the table
The Borough Kitchen linen napkins in chocolate come as a set of four, each 47x47cm. They are 100% linen, designed by the Borough Kitchen team and made in Lithuania, with mitred hems and corners that give the edges some weight so they drape neatly. Care is simple: they are machine washable at 30C, and the brand says they get softer and more absorbent with every wash.

Dark chocolate is a useful colour because it sits well beside white porcelain and natural materials, which is exactly how the store styles it on its own table settings. Plain linen also works whether the occasion is a weeknight dinner or a festive meal.
For texture, the BAOLGI rattan serving placemat is hand-woven from natural rattan in rural Myanmar. It has a subtly curved rim and is designed to sit under dinner plates, adding warmth and protecting the table. It pairs naturally with the napkins above, and the wider napkins, placemats and tablecloths collection has more options if brown is not your colour.

Delivery, stock and who should look elsewhere
The store advertises free mainland UK shipping above a minimum order value, and the delivery and returns page is the place to confirm the current terms before you order. Borough Kitchen also runs five London shops and a cook school, which is handy if you live nearby.
Two caveats. First, stock changes: when we looked, the chocolate napkins and the rattan placemat carried a note that new stock was expected in early December, so check availability first if you need them for a particular date. Second, these are considered, design-led pieces. If you simply need a cheap pepper grinder or disposable napkins for a big party, this is not the right shop.
Our recommendation
If you cook often and like a table that looks put together, start with the walnut pepper mill, add the salt mill only if you use dry salt, and then layer in the chocolate linen napkins. The rattan placemat is a nice extra rather than a necessity. You can browse the full range on the Borough Kitchen store and check each product page for current prices and stock.
